Overseas in a small, rainy country, the sun finally showed its face to the land. The beams of light illuminated shimmering streets and roads. Everything was still wet from the rain. 1955, the most important year of my childhood. In my memories it always has been something vague but it left an imprint in the back of my brain. Just like all of the other Holidays they are represented by a figure, Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, and I wonder if there are more out there. They are figures that we fantasize about, we idolize them and love them. They have given us so many gifts over our childhoods but never was it as big as the gift of dreams. It allowed us to dream. Dream about flying reindeers, elves, a bunny that can paint, as silly as that sounds. But we believed, and because we believed, they were real or felt real.
